Patriotic Star Sandwich Cookies

You Will Need:

-Favorite sugar cookie recipe or store bought cookie dough
-Favorite Royal Icing Recipe or Store Bought
-Fondarific Red Fondant (Item #RD-1200)
-Fondarific Blue Fondant (Item #BL-1200)
-Large Patriotic Star Edible Dec Ons (Item #LPS-46486)
-White Icing Writing Bottle (Item #704W481)
-Star Cookie Cutter
-Pastry Bags and icing tips (Item #2104W6667)

Directions

1. Prepare your favorite sugar cookies using a star shaped cookie cutter, or use store bought.

2. Roll Red and Blue Fondant Icing out to 1/8 of an inch thick.

3. Use the star cookie cutter that is the same size as the sugar cookies to cut blue and red fondant into stars.

4. Place royal icing on the top of the star cookies.

5. Place fondant stars on top of icing.

6. Place the uniced half of the cookies face down. Fill with your choice of icing, and then place a decorated star cookie on top of each.

7. Use a dab of royal icing to attach patriotic stars to the top of the fondant.
